The 11 Best Houston Podcasts of 2021
I’m not usually a fan of podcasts, but I listen to a ton of them.
The best of them I find are ones that are well done, have a lot of interesting guests, and are generally interesting to listen to. This list is no exception to that rule. From podcast to podcast, here is where you can find the best podcasts in the city of Houston. The first thing you should know about this list is that I have no affiliation with or relationship with the companies who produce these podcasts. I just really like listening to them.
This list is the result of over a year of listening to all of the Houston based podcasts, and what I’ve learned from them.
I think this is a good idea because it gives you an idea of what to expect from the next year of Houston’s local podcasts. In my opinion, the best podcasts for the entire city of Houston are the ones produced by our own podcast network, Houstons Podcast Network. If you want to hear an informed discussion about all sorts of topics from Houston based topics to current events, then you will definitely want to check out our podcast network.
The other podcast I think has a nice set of podcasts to listen to is The Houston Chronicle.
I also like The Houston Press Podcast, and The Houston Livestream Podcast. I think The Houston Sports Podcast has some good shows. And I also think we should have an archive of the podcasts that we put out, and we should have a website for those. I think that would be a good idea. Podcasts are just one way to get your local news. If you are a sports junkie, your local sports network would be another way to get your local news. Just because one or both of those local networks is on our website doesn't mean you have to subscribe to them. But you can sign up for their news apps and watch their shows in your news app of choice.
In the future I would also like to see podcasts get a lot more exposure. They don't really have to be new every single day. The news isn't always breaking with the latest stories, so podcasts can still be informative and engaging.
This is one of the reasons I like the idea of podcasts
They have so much more context. If you want to have a great conversation about the latest news, you dont have to listen to every single podcast in existence. You can just listen to the ones that are on your news app. So to me, podcasts are the new news. And I can't get enough of them. If I see a new one that I think is going to be good, then I'll try to listen to it. If I know what to expect, I'll be listening to a podcast. And I use my podcast app more than I use my phone. If I'm planning on being on the road for longer periods of time, I will listen to podcasts while I'm traveling.
