Instead, you’ll find homes that are all over the map.

Sure, you might come across a listing where someone is selling a house for two million dollars or maybe in the neighborhood where you want to buy a house. But on Craigslist, even though homes are posted by the dozen or so times over, you dont even see them until you have to make a trip down to the local real estate office to look at the house.

In short, the majority of houses on the site are not in areas that you will actually want to live in. And this isn’t just an issue for the sellers.

A lot of the listings you see will be from people who are looking for houses to sell. They have no idea what they are looking at or they are just looking for a quick buck.

Some might say that Craigslist is under rated, because it is not "real estate." Most of the listings are of homes that have been in the process of being sold over the course of several months, and the sellers are not getting the same amount of offers as they did before selling.
